Brief Introduction

Suntime Winery is the largest winery in Asia, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion. It occupies 10,000 ha. in Xin Jiang - one of the most recognized appellations for vine growing and wine production. With the same latitude 44 degree as Bordeaux and California, Xin Jiang produces the best grapes and wines in China. Suntime Winery possesses the state-of-the-art wine making equipemnts ( imported from France and Italy), and it produces natural, healthy and premium quality wines. Suntime Winery has passed the ISO 9001 certification, China Green Food and China Environment, and enjoys Free Inspection Product Privilege.

History of the vineyards: As long as more than 2000 years ago, when was the period of domination by the Emperor HAN WU DI, Zhang Qian introduced grape from Da Wan (TASHGAN area in Mid-Asia) during his expedition to Xiyu by thrice ( 138 B.C-A.D 119). At the same time, he also introduced oeologists to start with wine making. Through Hexi Routeway, the grape was grounded in Xi Jiang firstly and then transferred to other areas such as Xi'an city, the N. and NE. of China.

The vineyard of Suntime is located on the massifs to the north of Mountain Tian and the river valley of Yili respectively, from Jichang to Yili district, built in 1998 mainly contains Yili vineyard, Mahe vineyard and Tianchi vineyeard.

Grape varieties planted: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Gernischet, Chardonnay, Gamay, Grenache, Petit Verdo, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Calignon, Muscat.

Combination between tradition and modern So far what Suntime has been had are not only the strong brand awareness but also the modernized winery and the golbal most modern equipments and techniques.

During the period of building winery, Suntime introduced full sets of the modern wine-making equipment including the selecting system, distending and crushing machine, press, temperature-controlled fermentation, stainless tank, bottling line, analysis and inspection instrument and so from France and Italy.
